I just turned in my application for a grant to attend a two day workshop on 19th century photographic process in Denver, Colorado with the great Quinn Jacobson!!! The workshop will include hands-on learning of Ambrotype (clear and black glass positives)and Tintypes/Ferrotypes among other techniques. Anyone who knows me knows of my passion for photography and my desire to learn historical methods of wet plate collodion photography such as Ambrotypes, Tintypes, Alumitypes, and Daguerreotypes with the plans of being able to teach these historical methods in order to preserve these important historical processes. Workshops like this one are critical in my understanding and ability to demonstrate and teach these historic methods. Below is a sample of Quinn's amazing work! Visit his website at StudioQ.com
